Winter has arrived in 2016 with a vengeance. In my opinion, winter is a full-on Monet. From far away (Instagram and my living room window), it’s ok, but up close (walking from the nail salon to my car in flimsy, foam flip-flops in 20 degree weather), it’s a big, old mess!
Sweaters are my go-to when the temperatures drop. Shape, size, color, texture, I love them all! Goodwill is a great place to stock up on sweaters. For those dry clean only Goodwill sweaters, I use Dryel. It works wonders. This sweater coat has been my go-to for the last month…solo, layered under my winter coat, or even on the couch while watching Making a Murderer. Did I mention pockets? I’m a sucker for anything with pockets. Hermione must have placed an Undetectable Extension Charm on these pockets because they hold all of my winter essentials…cellphone, snacks, and a Mini Bota Box.
How do you layer up for the cooler temps? Do you have any tricks for staying warm? Leave me a comment below!
I live in Florida… so I’ve been rocking tights under my shorts for our “winter” haha! LOVE this outfit though!

I was just in Florida this weekend, but now I’m back in the frozen tundra. I wish I could pull off the tights under shorts look!
You look gorgeous! I LOVE that scarf!

Love your style! Goodwill should make you their spokes model!

Thank you!
Love love the nail polish! I sometimes miss colder weather because of the big comfy sweaters, but than I am hot with a 70 degree day in Feb and I can’t complain much :)!
Love love love this outfit! I need to get a pair of boots like that!
I love this look! We don’t get proper cold here in California, so I always take advantage of a few days somewhere cold each winter, mostly so I get to wear my coat.
Also, so with you on the pockets!
Personally, I’m all about the layered look of a sheath dress, longer sweater, scarf and great boots. It’s quickly become a uniform for me this winter! Love this look. – Katy
love this look, chunky sweaters, scarves, and boots are some of the best things about winter! That purse is fabulous and you just look stunning dear!
