There is not much that I love more than an end of the year round up and a thoughtful witty product review. So why not combine both for my favorite purchases of 2019? In the spirit of TIBAL, here are the top things I bought and LOVED in 2019!
SKIMS – As the queen of curves, I trust Kim K with all things shapewear. Do not underestimate the power of proper shapewear. It is the foundation of a great wardrobe! I’ve been wearing the open bust slip dress under all of my dresses and feeling snatched to the gods!
50 Ways to Yay – I’m not sure how or where I stumbled upon this book, but I’m so glad that I did. Alexi Panos has a way of presenting daunting and complex self-help concepts and exercises in simple and manageable bite-sized nuggets.
Jewelry Travel Case – If you have every tried to untangle a pile of necklaces after returning from vacation, this is the jewelry travel case for you!
Resin Hoop Earrings – I haven’t found a single outfit or occasion where these earrings don’t fit the bill. If I were on a deserted island and had to take one pair of earrings, it would be these. Plus, they’re only $10.99.
Peloton – Though I’ve only had the Peloton for a month, I cannot sing its praises enough! I love cycling and having a thousands of cycling classes available at demand at home is priceless!
Square Hoop Earrings – I wear these a lot….A WHOLE LOT! They are a dupe for the Uncommon James – Girl Boss earrings.
Silicon Loofah – I am on the front line of the war of regular loofahs. It harbors bacteria, takes forever to dry, and doesn’t last long. It’s cooler antibacterial young brother, the silicon loofah dries quicker and lasts a helluva lot longer than that tangled web of nets we rub all over our body.
Travel Makeup case – I’ve used a combination of mediocre makeup travel cases over the years. This is the ONLY one that I’ve ever found that truly holds all of my makeup without having to compromise bringing a separate lipstick for every day of the trip!
Simplisafe – I bet you didn’t see this recommendation coming, did ya? We bought a house this summer, and this security system has been WONDERFUL. It’s highly customizable based on your living space and super easy to install.
There weren’t many beauty items that I LOVED in 2019, but I still stand by all of these recommendations from last year.

I’m always in need of some new recommendations to start the year of right and this was just what I needed. Some of the items I thought were absolute musts on this list were Skims shapewear and the hoop earrings! I love shopping the look for less and those earrings look so much like the Jennifer Fisher earrings that many Youtubers are raving about. I also fell in love with the Skims brand because of the wide variety that they offer in both colors and sizes.
